An Introduction to the Gold Standard - Prolonged Exposure for PTSD

This pre-recorded webinar is for mental health professionals interested in learning more about one of the most evidence-based models for the treatment of PTSD, Prolonged Exposure (PE). PE is considered a “gold standard” treatment for PTSD as recommended by the National Center for PTSD, the American Psychological Association (APA), and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies (ISTSS). With its basis in behaviorism, this short-term approach to treating PTSD follows an exposure based model including techniques such as imaginal and in vivo exposures. In this workshop, you will learn about how to determine readiness for PE, see demonstrations of the core techniques, and discuss common challenges to PE’s implementation.
