Empowerment in Therapy: A New Model of Cultural Responsive Assessment and Treatment Planning

In this self-paced webinar Ryan Delapp, PhD will transcend typical cultural competency trainings and share effective and evidence-based approaches to providing culturally responsive treatment and embodying cultural humility. Dr. Delapp pioneered a groundbreaking initiative known as the REACH Program (Racial, Ethnic, and Cultural Healing). This innovative program combines elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to empower BIPOC individuals, enabling them to embrace and honor their cultural identities. Moreover, the REACH Program is specifically designed to equip teenagers and young adults with protective skills that effectively alleviate the adverse effects of cultural and racial stressors.

ASWB: AFFIRM Mental Health, LLC, provider #1929, is approved to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Regulatory boards are the final authority on courses accepted for continuing education credit. ACE provider approval period: July 18, 2024. Social workers completing this course receive 2.75 clinical continuing education credits.
